about

jennifer morris is a multi-disciplined maker working with clay, wood, and wool among other natural materials. her focus is on process and slow investigation; each piece is an exploration -celebration- of material, line and form as both formal and emotional experience. there is an undeniable connection to place and memory; an attempt to construct metaphor using gesture and architectural space as the language navigating the gray area between art and craft.

her work ethic
favors small series and unique individual pieces over mass production.

jennifer lives and works in her garden studio in los angeles and in joshua tree, california.
